The Point Wellness crafts one-stop-shop for alternative medicine in Round Rock

“With acupuncture, I can treat everything from muscle injuries and pain to allergies and digestive issues and emotional things,” Whipple said.

“You'll come to me for something, you'll go to another practitioner for something else, but we're all on the same platform,” Whipple said. “We can all see each other's notes. We all talk about patients to kind of collectively get everybody back to their optimal health.”

What they offer

Patients can find acupuncture, massage services, cupping, cryotoning, localized cryotherapy, reiki, craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, stretching, Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy and infrared sauna and cold tub sessions.

Since the business’ opening in 2021, its offerings have expanded to include lab testing, energy work and additional massage services.

Whipple said the eight practitioners at the business have worked on curating the atmosphere of the space to be cozy so people feel welcome when they visit.

In addition to practitioners sharing patients, the teamwork value of the business has also grown through practitioners getting treatments from each other.

“One of the biggest things is all of my practitioners get treatments from everybody else,” Whipple said. “Not only are we taking care of our clientele, we're taking care of ourselves. When you get treatments from another practitioner within the clinic, you trust them because you're trusting them with your own treatment. I think that trust, not only working with the different patients, but also trusting that practitioner with your own health, builds that bond.”

Natural alternative medicine serves a variety of purposes and is focused on the theory that the body can heal itself from obstruction, Whipple said. Obstructions can be internal such as vitamin deficiencies or mental.

“We have helped people through monumental things in their life, whether it's grief or whether it's emotional issues,” Whipple said. “People can come in in extreme amounts of pain and after two treatments they walk out with a smile on their face. That's really what we're here to do.”
