"My goal isn't to sell glasses," Karamchandani said. "I definitely don't have that here. It's just to provide really good quality care with a whole-body perspective."
About the business
Karamchandani said her approach to eye health emphasizes preventative medicine and whole-body health. The clinic offers comprehensive eye exams, which include prescriptions for contacts and eyeglasses; wellness scans, which produce an image of the retina as well as an ultrasound of the eye's nerve and macula; specialized evaluations for dry eye to assess the quality of a patient's tear film as well as potential allergies; and a variety of therapeutic treatments for dry eye, including red light therapy, low-level light therapy and intense pulsed light therapy, amniotic membranes, punctal plugs, microexfoliation of the eyelid and rinsada, a treatment to irrigate the eye.
