1. Brushy Creek Fourth of July Parade and Festival
The Round Rock-area neighborhood celebrates Independence Day with a parade and a festival. Activities include a bounce house, foam pit, inflatable water slide, face painting and food vendors. Free. 9:30 a.m. (parade start), 10 a.m. (festival start). 2. Fast Eddie’s 4th of July hot-dog eating contest
Visit Fast Eddie’s Billiards & Sports Bars around the state on July 3 for a chance to compete in a hot-dog eating contest. 3. Frontier Days celebration, Sertoma Parade
Join the City of Round Rock for a parade, carnival rides, jalapeno pepper eating contests and children’s activities. Free watermelon and fireworks will be followed by the Lego Batman Movie. The parade begins at 10 a.m. on Main St. The festival is from 12-11 p.m. at Old Settlers Park, 3300 Palm Valley Blvd. www.roundrocktexas.gov
