Just over two weeks after the filing period opened for places on the May 4 ballot, three candidates have filed to run for two seats on Round Rock City Council. Rene Flores submitted an application Jan. 23 to maintain his Place 2 seat on the dais. Flores was elected to his seat in May 2016. Blane Conklin filed an application Jan. 30 to run against Flores for Place 2. Selicia Sanchez-Adame submitted an application Jan. 16 to run for Place 6, which is held by Hilda Montgomery. Sanchez-Adame is the only candidate to file for the Place 6 as of Feb. 4. The filing period, which opened Jan. 16, ends Feb. 19.
