Renner Road lanes closed for waterline installation in Richardson

Richardson drivers can expect lane closures as road work is set to begin on West Renner Road, acccording to the city of Richardson website.

The details

Westbound traffic on West Renner Road between Custer Parkway and the DART Silver Line will be reduced to one lane. The lanes will be closed so crews can install a 42-inch waterline that is part of the ongoing 825 Pressure Zone project meant to improve water capacity.

Work will also include median landscaping improvements along the road, which will feature river rock, mulch and ornamental plants to beautify the roadway.

What else?

The work is expected to impact traffic through mid-2025 and the 825 Pressure Zone project began in late 2023 and is expected to be completed in early 2026. The project is part of a collaboration between the city and the North Texas Municipal Water District.
