Dallas Area Rapid Transit announced on its website that it has suspended all rail and bus services Friday, Feb. 4, through noon Sunday, Feb. 6, due to "untenable ice conditions."
The National Weather Service has issued a hard freeze warning for all of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, beginning at midnight Saturday, Feb. 5, through 9 a.m. that day. Road conditions across the region continue to remain extremely dangerous, according to DART, which is recommending everyone avoid travel wherever possible.
DART implemented winter weather precautions earlier in the week, suspending DART rail operations starting Feb. 3 while operating emergency bus routes.
Passengers who need emergency service should contact the DART Customer Information Center at 214-979-1111, according to the agency.
