Small businesses in Richardson and other areas of Dallas County may be eligible for additional forgivable loans under a new county program.
Dallas County began accepting pre-applications June 15 for the emergency program, which will allocate $5 million of federal stimulus funds toward small businesses that have yet to receive enough financial assistance to meet their needs.
The forgivable loans, funded through the federal CARES Act, would be worth up to $15,000 per business.
The county expected that the need from area businesses would exceed available money, according to a June 9 news release.
