Richardson ISD announces senior graduation ceremony schedule

Richardson ISD officials have announced the schedule for senior graduation ceremonies at the end of the 2023-24 school year.

Graduation ceremonies will take place at Wildcat-Ram Stadium, which is located on the Lake Highlands High School campus at 9449 Church Road, Dallas. Days and times for each of RISD’s four high schools are as follows:

• Lloyd V. Berkner High School and STEM Academy: May 24, 8 p.m.
• Richardson High School: May 25, 8 a.m.
• Lake Highlands High School: May 25, 8 p.m.
• J.J. Pearce High School: May 26, 8 a.m.

The context

RISD’s board of trustees approved the 2023-24 academic calendar in January. It includes 174 instructional days and 13 additional days for teacher professional learning. The school year began Aug. 15 with winter break set to start Dec. 22 and students returning Jan. 9. Spring break is set for March 11-15. The last day of school is May 24.
