Richardson staple Thai Soon Restaurant is set to close on Aug. 23, according to a social media announcement.

Thai Soon opened in Lower Greenville in 1987 before moving to Richardson in 2001, per the restaurant’s website.

“I sincerely have enjoyed and love[d] getting to know each one of you throughout the years,” owner Irean Wongchingchai posted to Facebook. “The goal was always to bring healthy fresh ingredients to serve our community. And I believe we did that.”
