Boss Nail Academy coming soon in Richardson

A special permit request for a nail technician school on Campbell Road was recommended for council approval by the Richardson City Plan Commission.

The request for Boss Nail Academy, which will be located within a shopping center at 521 W. Campbell Road, received its recommendation during the Oct. 5 meeting.

The gist

Boss Nail Academy offers instruction on proper sanitary standards, artificial nail enhancements, manicures and artificial gel manicures, co-owner Betsy Juarez said. Senior Planner Derica Peters said the school holds accreditation with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

According to city documents, the academy will host no more than 15 students at a time and up to five clients. Co-owner Hanan Ibrahim said the school offers morning and evening classes for its 600-hour program with the ability to host clients on Fridays.

What’s next?

Richardson City Council will consider approval of the special permit request no earlier than its Oct. 23 meeting.
