From a new bakery to a Jordanian grocery store, check out five business updates in Richardson.
Now open
Jubran Roastery & Market
Jubran Roastery & Market is now open in Richardson. The Jordan-based roastery and grocery store offers a variety of food products, including nuts, dates, coffee and chocolates.
Owner Eddie Tiraoui said the store offers fresh products and starts everything from scratch, including roasting coffee beans, making fresh peanut butter in-store, roasting nuts and seeds and grinding spices. The store offers 111 varieties of spices, Tiraoui said.
Tiraoui said he first encountered Jubran on a trip to Jordan and wanted to bring the concept to his Richardson hometown.
“It has pretty much everything from spices to nuts, dates, coffee,” Tiraoui said. “You can order any coffee you want [and] they’ll grind it for you right there.”
Jubran also has areas for people to sit and enjoy coffee or gelato in-store, he said.
“It’s some kind of getaway,” Tiraoui said.
Jubran started in Jordan in 1986, where it currently operates 18 stores. This is Jubran’s first international location, and Tiraoui said the Richardson store will serve as a model for future locations in the United States.
