The city of Richardson has announced the featured artist for the Cottonwood Art Festival will be Canadian mixed-media artist Marjolyn van der Hart.
The Cottonwood Art Festival will be held May 7-8 at Cottonwood Park. It will be the first festival since 2019 after organizers canceled the last two years during the pandemic.
According to a city press release, van der Hart is known for work that includes layers of nostalgic images. These images will be incorporated into the festival poster, merchandise and marketing graphics. They will also be featured in a centrally located booth at the festival, according to the press release.
