1. Ownsby Parkway
Project: Ownsby Parkway is being expanded by six lanes between Preston Road and Coit Road.
Update: Starting Dec. 3, the outside lanes will open for eastbound and westbound drivers to accommodate traffic, according to a Nov. 29 weekly update from City Manager Robert Ranc. The inside lanes are expected to remain closed for the next two months as construction continues on the roadway medians.
2. Arizona Drive and Colorado Street improvements
Project: The construction on the two roads is part of a greater downtown redevelopment project, and will include road reconstruction from Ash Street to Cedar Street as well as drainage improvements.
Update: A portion of Colorado Drive between Ash Street and Sunset Boulevard closed Dec. 2 and will remain closed through February for sewer line, water line, storm drain line and concrete installation.

3. Coit Road improvements
Project: Contractors will replace the existing asphalt along Coit Road with a four-lane divided concrete street between Vest Lane to just north of Rocky Road.
Update: Construction is expected to begin in early 2025, according to the city’s capital improvement projects dashboard.

4. US 380 roadwork at Teel Parkway and Championship Drive
Project: This small part of the overall US 380 widening project is located at Teel Parkway and Championship Drive.
Update: The roadway opened after construction finished Nov. 26, according to an update from the town posted on social media.
Ongoing projects
5. Legacy Drive lane construction
Project: Four lanes are being constructed on the west side of Legacy Drive, a soon-to-be six-lane divided roadway between Prairie Drive and First Street. Other improvements include underground drainage work and median landscape work.
Update: Contractors began the irrigation and landscape work in fall 2024, according to an update on the town's project dashboard.
Upcoming projects
6. US 380 median landscaping
Project: The stretch of US 380 between Mahard Parkway and Lovers Lane in Prosper will see landscape enhancements including trees, shrubs, groundcovers and irrigation improvements through a Green Ribbon grant project. Town officials will seek reimbursement from TxDOT once the project is finished, according to town documents.
Update: Prosper Town Council members approved a construction contract for the project during a Nov. 26 meeting.
