Prosper ISD received an overall ‘A’ rating from the Texas Education Agency for its student performance in the 2025-26 school year.
The A-F accountability system measures how much students are learning in each grade and whether or not they are ready for the next grade, according to the TEA.
A closer look
Each district’s rating is broken down into three categories:
PISD’s score stayed level or improved across all three categories compared to 2024-25, according to TEA data.
All of PISD’s campuses received an ‘A’ or ‘B’ rating except for Judy Rucker Elementary School, which received a ‘C’ rating.
Rucker Elementary School has moved to a new campus at 560 S. Craig Road as of the 2026-27 school year, according to the district’s website.

PISD is among 17% of districts statewide that received an ‘A’ rating for the 2025-26 school year, per TEA data.
About 24% of districts across the state received a higher rating in 2025-26 compared to 2024-25, Community Impact reported.
“This year’s A-F ratings illustrate the progress Texas public schools are making and acknowledge the hard work of our educators while illuminating areas of needed improvement to ensure that all students have access to a high-quality education,” Education Commissioner Mike Morath said in a statement.
