Celina ISD officials have extended Superintendent Thomas Maglisceau's contract.
The district's board of trustees approved Maglisceau's contract in a 5-2 vote during a March 30 meeting. Trustees Jennifer Driver and Michael Wagoner voted against the contract.
Trustee Jarratt Calvert said Maglisceau shows up for the district's 6,500 students every day.
“You’ve walked us through some of the most challenging times we’ve ever had in the district, [COVID-19] being one of those, but then probably the darkest times in our district [seen] last year," Calvert said. "Thank you for your steadfastness."
