Celina High School's marching band to receive new trailer amid growth

“Our high school band is going to grow substantially,” he said.

The Bobcat Band has one 33-foot box truck owned by the district, Mathews said. For this year’s band season, he said the district rented an additional 26-foot box truck to handle all of the band equipment.

The new trailer was donated by Mayflower Moving Company, according to the board’s agenda.

Clubhouse Trailers will oversee a refurbishing process that will be done by Peak Trailer Group, a vendor the company uses. This cost is estimated to be $37,758 for parts and labor, according to the quote.

Clubhouse Trailers will then finish out the project, Mathews said. This includes painting portions of the trailer, installing a vinyl wrap and installing power, the quote stated.

The trailer will be able to carry all band equipment, including props, Mathews said. It will also serve as a billboard for the district.

“As we show up with our band trailer it will represent excellence that we’re pursuing here as a school district,” Mathews said.
