Rainwater Crossing, a 641-acre master-planned community in Celina, has opened model homes and begun sales in Phase 1, according to a news release.
The development will include more than 1,800 homes when complete, according to the project’s website.

Phase 1 will be made up of single-family homes by homebuilders Normandy Homes and Centre Living Homes.
An entrance park with art installations featuring Scout, the community’s purple martin mascot, is set to open later this summer, per the release.

Current plans focus on single-family houses and townhomes, but the development also has a mixed-use space in the center of the community which could be used for multifamily housing or retail space, per the website.
Looking ahead
Phase 1 is the first of seven planned phases, according to the development’s website.
Phase 2, which features townhomes built by CB JENI Homes, is expected to open this fall.
