On the heels of finding a spot on Time magazine's Healthiest Places to Live, the city of Plano was awarded the No. 2 ranking in CreditDonkey.com's "10 Best Cities to Live in Texa," study, published Aug. 1.
The site gathers information for national studies often, but editors decided to hone in on particular states this year, said Charles Tran, founder of CreditDonkey.com.
"While we usually do a national level study, we started to do state-level stories this year as it gives us an opportunity to highlight cities that usually escape the attention of folks outside the state," he said. "Plus with major companies like Toyota choosing to move to Texas, it felt like more people are considering the move to Texas."
The credit card comparison and financial education website analyzed key factors in determining the best places for families to live: crime rate, commute time, income, education and restaurants per capita.
