The North Texas Tollway Authority announced nightly lane closures and detours along the Dallas North Tollway May 26 through the morning of June 9 as construction to add additional lanes from the Sam Rayburn Tollway to the President George Bush Turnpike continues. All lanes of east- and westbound Spring Creek Parkway at Dallas Parkway (DNT frontage road) will be closed nightly from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. All lanes of the U-turn area south of Spring Creek Parkway at Dallas Parkway will be closed nightly during this time as well.

Motorists traveling eastbound on Spring Creek Parkway will turn right onto southbound Dallas Parkway and take a left onto Windhaven Parkway. Motorists will then take another left onto northbound Dallas Parkway and continue north to Spring Creek Parkway, where they will turn right. Motorists traveling westbound on Spring Creek Parkway will turn right onto northbound Dallas Parkway and take a left onto Tennyson Parkway. Motorists will then take another left onto southbound Dallas Parkway and continue south to Spring Creek Parkway, where they can turn right. No two consecutive cross streets will not be closed on the same nights, according to the NTTA. Changeable message signs will be placed prior to the lane closures in the construction area and law enforcement officers will be on duty to assist motorists as needed. All closures are subject to weather conditions and will be postponed if necessary, according to the NTTA. Delays are expected and motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area.
