Restaurant offers creative sandwich options with a distinctly northeastern flair
True to its name, East Hampton Sandwich Co. in the Shops at Legacy strives to make patrons feel as if they are stepping into a breezy house in The Hamptons.
The upscale kitchen feel of the restaurant, with its bright white and red tones and wood and rope accents, is complemented by the unique, made-to-order menu items, which include sandwiches, salads and soups.
General Manager Jake Cswaykus said owner Hunter Pond started the original restaurant in Snider Plaza in Dallas about two years ago. The Plano restaurant opened in 2013 and a third location is in Fort Worth.
"The owner noticed there was a lack of quality sandwiches in the [Dallas-Fort Worth] area, so he figured he would fill that niche with sandwiches and salads," Cswaykus said. "Kind of like our motto, 'a refined kitchen and caterer'—it's true because we make everything in-house. All of our meat is made in-house."
