The North Texas Tollway Authority this week announced Wednesday lane closures along the frontage roads of the Dallas North Tollway and Tennyson Parkway in Plano.[/caption] Two northbound lanes and two southbound lanes of the tollway frontage road approaching Tennyson will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to a statement from the North Texas Tollway Authority. Westbound traffic on Tennyson will be rerouted to a newly constructed bridge crossing over the tollway, causing intermittent closures during the same hours. The closures, coordinated with the city of Plano, are part of a broader project to add an additional lane to the tollway between SH 121 and President George Bush Turnpike and construct a new Tennyson crossing over the major north-south thoroughfare. Tennyson's eastbound lanes will shift onto the new bridge "in the coming weeks," according to the release.
