Plano’s Planning and Zoning commission approved an expansion for Christ United Methodist Church along Coit Road at a meeting May 18.
The gist
The commission approved a revised site plan for the church for a new building expansion, a porte cochere and to adjust site circulation per city documents. The commission also approved changing fire lane, water and utility easements for the building’s expansion.
The expanded entrance is part of an effort to create a more welcoming environment and improve hospitality, according to the church website. Church renovations come from its For Generations capital campaign, which funds long-term projects to sustain the ministry.
