Here are three events happening in Plano during the Memorial Day weekend in late May.

1. Boots and BBQ

Lexus Box Garden at Legacy Hall is hosting its seventh annual Boots and BBQ fest during Memorial Day weekend. The event will have country music, craft beer and local vendors on Sunday.

2. The Texas Pool

Memorial Day is also the opening day for Plano’s Texas-shaped pool. The Texas Pool will have a National Moment of Remembrance ceremony at 3 p.m. The pool also offers local performers, a snack bar and picnic areas.

3. Sunset at Memorial Park

Two Plano-area veteran organizations, the Harding-Blaine American Legion Post 321 and the Casey Joyce All-America VFW Post 4380, are hosting a ceremony at Memorial Park.
