Plano voters head to the polls May 1 to elect a new mayor and fill four City Council seats. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Three candidates are running to replace Plano Mayor Harry LaRosiliere, who is finishing his second and final term. The candidates are real estate professional Lily Bao, businessman John Muns and retired economics professor Lydia Ortega.
The Place 2 City Council race has incumbent Anthony Ricciardelli facing challenger Steve Lavine. In Place 8, City Council incumbent Rick Smith faces a challenge from Elisa Klein. The Plano City Council Place 4 race has incumbent Kayci Prince facing challengers Justin Adcock, Nassat Parveen and Vidal Quintanilla.
The Place 7 seat, which Bao vacated to run for mayor, is being sought by five candidates: Julie Holmer, Bill Lisle III, Chris Robertson, David Smith and Sandeep Srivastava.
