Plano sales tax collections were down 13% in April as compared to the same month last year.
Data released last week by the Texas State Comptroller’s Office reflects a drop in economic activity in Plano during the first full month of coronavirus-related restrictions.
Collections in Plano were $5.6 million in April, down from $6.5 million during the same period in 2019.
Through the first four months of 2020, Plano’s collections were down nearly 2% year over year.
