Lava Hot Chicken now offers tenders, wings and sliders in Plano
The restaurant had its soft opening in Plano in June and has a wide variety of fried chicken options on its menu:
Some of its sides include mac and cheese, fries, coleslaw and Texas toast. The chicken can also be seasoned with its signature lava sauce. The restaurant focuses on bold, flavor-first Halal chicken and has a “spice ladder” with five levels, according to its website.
Capo’s serves Italian with a twist on Prosper, Celina border
Capo’s Pizza and Pasta is open on Frontier Parkway, a company representative confirmed.
In addition to traditional pizza toppings like pepperoni and olives, Capo’s also offers options like paneer, tandoori chicken and gyro meat.
For appetizers, customers can order mozzarella sticks or opt for dishes like za’atar rolls, chicken musakhan rolls and akawi pie, a Middle Eastern cheese bread.
The restaurant is located in The Creeks at Celina, a retail center on Frontier Parkway near the future Dallas North Tollway.
Teaspoon offers boba tea at first Denton location
California-based boba tea shop Teaspoon opened its first Denton location at the Rayzor Ranch shopping center in late May, a company representative said. The company offers several teas, like Thai tea, honey oolong and cream-infused jasmine green tea, along with coffee drinks.
The company will host a grand opening event July 25 with giveaways and prizes, the representative said.
Teaspoon started in California in 2015 and operates more than 50 locations in the United States and two in Dallas-Fort Worth, one in Denton and one in Mansfield, according to the company website.

Potbelly is set to bring its toasty sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads to Frisco later this year.
A spokesperson for Potbelly confirmed a new Frisco location was planned and eyeing a late 2026 opening date.
A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation lists Potbelly as opening at the intersection of Stonebrook Parkway and Teel Parkway with 2,065 square feet. According to the filing, construction of the new restaurant will cost about $450,000.
Potbelly's menu items include a chicken bacon ranch wrap, chicken club sandwiches, macaroni and cheese and a variety of soups. Shops also have desserts and shakes on the menu.
Construction on First Watch in Keller to finish in November

The construction for First Watch was scheduled to begin July 1, according to the filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Construction on the $900,000 renovations for finishing out the project should wrap up by the beginning of November, the filing states.
First Watch serves breakfast items, such as breakfast sandwiches, breakfast hashes, pancakes, waffles, granola bowls and breakfast tacos.
Its lunch menu consists of a variety of sandwiches, burgers, salads and shareables, such as its Million Dollar Bacon and doughnut holes.
