The number of active cases of the coronavirus identified in Plano continued to grow this week as new cases outpaced recoveries 2-to-1.
In all, 180 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the past seven days—down from the 211 confirmed the week before—as 91 additional people were marked as recovered from the virus. Two new Plano coronavirus deaths reported in the last week brought the city's confirmed total to 22 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
The new cases have also outnumbered recoveries over the same span of time, leading to another 22% rise in the number of active cases within the city since July 31.
