The Feathered Nest celebrates 5 years under current ownership

Queenie Feige-Hider bought The Feathered Nest in downtown Plano in 2019. The business was established in Frisco 12 years ago and has been at its Plano location since 2014.

Feige-Hider said she had been a customer at The Feathered Nest for years before she bought the business. She said she had a great relationship with the previous owner who helped her learn how to run a retail business.

Feige-Hider said some of their customers describe the merchandise as “upscale bohemian.”

She said the boutique caters to a wide variety of ages and sizes, adding that kimonos are top-selling items.

“Some wear them with jeans and heels, some with shorts and sandals or cowboy boots,” Feige-Hider said. “That’s why we say this can work for young people going to a concert, and their moms want to buy it because they’re going on a cruise.”

On March 22, to celebrate the five-year anniversary of Feige-Hider's ownership, The Feathered Nest will have some of its favorite vendors on-site as well as a drawing for a gift certificate.
