Dallas Area Rapid Transit announces altered schedule for Christmas, New Year's

Dallas Area Rapid Transit will operate on an altered schedule for Christmas and New Year's, according to a news release from the transit agency.

Many DART services will close or operate on weekend schedules throughout the holidays.

DART is also offering free rides on DART buses, light rail, Paratransit services and the Trinity Railway Express on New Year’s Eve starting at 6 p.m.

The updated schedules can be found below:

• DART Buses and Light Rail: weekend schedule Dec. 24-26, Dec. 31-Jan. 2
• TRE: Saturday schedule Dec. 24, Dec. 31; no service Dec. 25-26, Jan. 1-2
• GoLink: will only operate in zones that provide Sunday service Dec. 24-26, Jan. 1-2; will only operate in zones that provide Saturday service Dec. 24, Dec. 31
• DART Paratransit: regular service Dec. 24, Dec. 31; Sunday schedule Dec. 25-26, Jan. 1-2
• DART Customer Information Center: closed Dec. 26; open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 24-25, Dec. 30-Jan. 2
• DART Customer Care Center and Lost and Found: closed Dec. 26, Jan. 2
• DART Administrative Offices: closed Dec. 26, Jan. 2
