Darna Mediterranean Eatery and Bar, Legacy West’s Euro-Mediterranean bazaar and restaurant, unveiled a new name, menu features and happy hour offerings in Plano, according to a company news release. The restaurant was formerly named Darna Mediterranean Eatery and Market.
“I believe that evolution is essential in any culinary journey,” owner Yaser Khalaf said in a news release.
What’s on the menu
Some of the menu additions include:
- Tunisian beet salad with wild arugula, roasted purple and yellow beets, pinked onion, orange segments, mint, pistachio and herbed goat cheese
- Moroccan rainbow carrots served with Labneh, hot honey and pistachios
- Sicilian square pizzas with flavors such as Margherita, beef pepperoni, chicken pesto and Mediterranean vegetables
- Seafood paella, a dish with Mediterranean vegetables, lamb sausage, scallops, salmon and shrimp
Looking for a libation?
On the cocktail side are:
- Garden of Gibraltar, a mix of Tito’s Vodka, St-Germain, lime, cucumber, Mediterranean spice and fresh herbs
- Amalfi Punch, a drink with Bacardi Superior Rum, pineapple, lime, orange, pomegranate and mint
- Barrel Aged Old Fashioned, made with Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Amaro Montenegro, sugar, aromatic and orange bitters
- Sicilian Spritz, a blend of Aperol, Caravella Limoncello, Prosecco and Fever Tree Sparkling Sicilian Lemonade
The eatery has also introduced a new happy hour menu that offers $1 pizza slices per drink from the cocktail, beer, wine and mocktail menu Mondays through Fridays from 3-6 p.m. The restaurant will also be pivoting from market and to-go offerings and prioritizing an immersive, social dining experience. The Turkish coffee bar and to-go pastries will remain available.
“The new features align with our vision to be more than just a restaurant; we want to be the heart of cherished moments and truly craft an environment where food becomes a shared experience,” Khalaf said.
