Plano officials OK $2.59M intersection improvements along Legacy, Corporate drives

Plano residents can expect to see more road work in west Plano after city officials approved a construction contract for upcoming intersection improvements.

The details

At an Aug. 25 meeting, Plano City Council members approved a $2.59 million contract for construction at the following intersections:

• Legacy Drive and SH 121
• SH 121 and JP Morgan Driveway
• Corporate and Legacy drives
• Corporate Drive and Tennyson Parkway

Improvements will primarily focus on adding additional turn lanes or extending existing lanes, according to city documents.

Construction is estimated to start in September and wrap up next June, according to Plano’s community investment program report.

The contract, awarded to XIT Paving and Construction, Inc., is funded by Plano’s street improvements community investment program.
