Pflugerville residents will soon have access to a rideshare voucher program through a partnership between the city and several organizations, including Uber.
Pflugerville City Council approved a $275,000 contract with TRIPP Ridesharing Consultants in conjunction with Uber and Maruti for the program Aug. 23.
Under the program, the city will cover a portion of Uber rides that start and end within city limits.
Similar to the city of Kyle's partnership with Uber, passengers would pay a small initial fare, and the city would cover remaining costs up to a certain limit.
