The city of Pflugerville will implement several additional safety features along Kelly Lane beginning the week of Feb. 1.
Jakes Hill Road, Hidden Lake Drive intersection
Pflugerville will activate a new traffic signal at the intersection of Jakes Hill Road and Hidden Lake Drive the week of Feb. 1, according to a city news release. The signal will remain in flash mode during the initial week and will be fully activated the week of Feb. 8.
Vilamoura Street, Falcon Pointe Boulevard intersection
Pflugerville crews installed in late January flexible posts along the center of Kelly Lane at the intersection of Vilamoura Street and Falcon Pointe Boulevard. The posts will restrict left turns at the intersection ahead of the beginning of construction on Phase 2 of the Kelly Lane widening project.
The posts are designed to reduce lines and enhance safety provisions at the intersection. Flexible delineator posts are used to help prevent serious vehicular crashes at busy intersections, according to the release.
