Ike's Love & Sandwiches, a growing sandwich chain from San Francisco, officially opened its doors in Pflugerville on June 5.
The restaurant serves sandwiches with signature sauces on Dutch crunch bread, with menu items named after local icons. They also offer vegan, vegetarian, halal and gluten-free options, along with a signature “Dirty Sauce” made from a garlic aioli base.
The Pflugerville location has its own exclusive sandwich, the Pfluger Schnitzel.
The Back Nine Golf opened its Pflugerville location in July.
The golf simulator spot is 3,000 square feet, has four bays and is open 24/7. The simulators let golfers play courses like Pebble Beach or St. Andrews on any schedule, day or night, without leaving the neighborhood.
Golfers can bring their own clubs, although most Back Nine locations offer clubs for rent. On average, it takes around 45 minutes to an hour to play 18 holes on a golf simulator.
The business offers memberships, but they are not required to play at the new location.
The Back Nine recently opened a location in the Round Rock-Hutto area and another in Cedar Park.
Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu recently opened a location in Pflugerville.
The location officially opened in April but held a grand opening event June 6. Renzo Gracie, which also has locations in Round Rock and Austin, offers classes for children and adults. No prior experience is required, and the programs are designed for beginners as well as advanced students.

Lucky Lab Coffee Co., a dog-friendly cafe, is expanding to Pflugerville.
Lucky Lab has built a following across the Austin area with roots near The University of Texas’ campus. The cafe offers locally roasted coffee from Third Coast Coffee and handcrafted snacks.
Construction is set to wrap up in October.
Plans for a new Ally Medical Emergency Room in Pflugerville have been filed.
Construction is set to begin in August and expected to wrap up in early April, 2027. The 8,100-square-foot project is expected to cost $2.5 million, according to the filing.
Ally Medical offers emergency medical services and has several locations in the Austin area, including Round Rock and Central Austin.
A new nail salon is planned for the SH 130 corridor, close to the shared border of the cities of Hutto and Pflugerville.
Per a project information filing from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, a 5,600-square-foot tenant space in a newly built building is being renovated for a future location of La Dolce Nail Spa. Renovations would occur from September to June of 2027.
The space to be occupied by the salon is located in a retail center that is also home to the recently opened Kids Tooth Team dental office, Swig and Luv Braces.
Plans for a new El Pollo Rico location in Pflugerville have been filed.
Construction is set to begin in August and expected to wrap up in December. The 2,700-square-foot project is estimated to cost $450,000, according to the filing.
The restaurant has several locations across the Austin area, and offers charcoal-grilled chicken, with customers able to order whole- and half-chicken plates, as well as carne asada, caldo de pollo, flautas and more.
