City of Hutto launches new user-friendly website

The city of Hutto recently revamped its website with a new look and more drop-down options.

The remodel is part of an ongoing effort to promote transparency and update citizens on city operations, communications manager Allison Strupeck said.

One feature, titled “Report a Problem,” allows users to log concerns including public space maintenance, graffiti removal and potholes.

The reports can be sent anonymously and are forwarded directly to the city staff member that oversees the topic in question, Strupeck said.

Another feature, the “Development Activity” tab, updates citizens on commercial projects, building permits and inspections, and even provides information on starting a new business.

All City Council, board and commission meeting agendas are posted under the “Agendas & Meetings” tab, and meetings continue to be live-streamed under the “Watch Our Meetings Online” tab on the home page.
