Pflugerville has several new businesses now open or coming soon, including an indoor playground and an Indian grocery store. Read about these businesses and more below.
Now open
Desi Dukaan
Owned by Hari Nemireddy and other business partners, the 10,000-square-foot grocery store sells lamb, chicken and seafood, and has an on-site restaurant, juice bar and bakery. The store occupies the former Billiard Factory space, which closed in October.
Coming soon
Tomlinson’s Feed
Currently under construction, the store has several locations across the Austin area and offers food, toys, treats and supplies for dogs and cats. The business also hosts local pet rescue adoption events, and offers microchip scanning and self-serve dog washing stations.
Kids Empire
The indoor playground business has leased 8,500 square feet of retail space at Stone Hill Town Center, according to a press release from real estate service provider Weitzman. The upcoming business was also confirmed by the city. With more than 100 locations nationwide, the concept was developed in Southern California as a way to provide parents with a safe place for children to play and explore.
Nexgen Spa and Nails
With an existing location in Hutto, the business offers a full range of nail and spa services, including manicures, pedicures, acrylics, gel nails and waxing. The new location will be in the H-E-B-anchored Pflugerville Retail Center.
The Exercise Coach
The personal training business operates through an appointment-based model designed to provide individualized attention in a smaller, more private environment. The studio features computerized machines instead of traditional free weights, and the equipment adjusts resistance based on each client’s strength output.

Chocolate Bash
The Southern California-based dessert shop sells waffles, crepes, pastries, shakes, coffee, hot chocolate and other treats. The menu features items such as a Dubai chocolate strawberry cone, a brownie ice cream cup and cream puffs.
Smart Stop
The convenience store offers snacks, drinks, alcoholic beverages, a coffee and hot food bar, and gas pumps. It has locations in Hutto, Leander and Round Rock.
H-E-B store upgrades
The grocer plans to upgrade a Pflugerville location as part of its Fresh Initiative, which will renovate stores across Central Texas. The Fresh Initiative focuses on interior store remodels to expand hot-food stations, grab-and-go prepared foods, and the Meal Simple line. The upgrades will cost approximately $635,000 and will begin on Nov. 30. Construction is expected to wrap up on Dec. 21.

Walmart
The $1.8 million upgrades brought modernized layouts and enhanced digital shopping integration to the store. This location is one of 72 stores in Texas to be remodeled this year.
