Beginning Aug. 27, the Almeda Genoa Bridge at Hwy. 288 will be closed for routine maintenance repairs.
What you need to know
On Aug. 27, Blueridge Transportation Group, or BTG, will begin work on the bridge, according to an Aug. 23 social media post from BTG.
Nightly closures are scheduled on Aug. 27, 28 and 29 and on Sept. 3, 4 and 5 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to the post.
A full weekend closure is scheduled from Sept. 6 at 9 p.m. to Sept. 9 at 5 a.m. This closure will result in no southbound traffic on Hwy. 288 at Almeda Genoa Road and eastbound traffic at Almeda Genoa Road at Hwy. 288.
Southbound drivers on Hwy. 288 should take West Orem Drive as a detour to Almeda Genoa Road, according to the post.
