The city of Pearland demolished seven homes, two garages and a storage building July 30 at Forrest Lane and Dixie Farm Road as a result of a municipal court order in June that deemed the buildings were unsafe, dilapidated and rodent-infested, according to a statement from the city. The owner was given about a month to take action, and when no work had been done, the city moved forward with demolition, according to the statement.
