Community Health Network in a Dec. 20 news release announced it opened an Intensive Outpatient Program, or IOP, at its Pearland Family Health Center, located at 2552 E. Broadway St., Ste. 102, Pearland.
“Community Health Network is pleased to provide this expert level of care for our community,” Community Health Network CEO Mark Young said in the release. “During this challenging time of uncertainty, services such as the IOP program are essential to linking people to the care they need.”
The IOP treats individuals, both adult and adolescent, with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders and offers group therapy, individual counseling and life skills classes, according to the news release.
Patients in the program meet with clinicians and support groups for nine hours a week and will take courses to address the issues that cause addiction, the release said. The adolescent IOP is an after-school program.
