Manvel recognized for 'high-quality standards for public roadways and spaces'

Each city is assessed on a points-based system and certification is given to those that score in the upper range, and meet “stringent scenic streetscape standards,” according to the release.

Scenic Texas Executive Vice President Anne Culver said the certification “shines a light” on Manvel’s commitment to high-quality standards for public roadways and spaces.

Manvel Mayor Dan Davis said the city and its officials are “honored to have been recognized.”

"This recognition is a testament to Manvel's dedication to preserving and enhancing the city's public spaces and infrastructure, and it reflects our commitment to connecting residents and visitors to new and existing businesses and public spaces,” Davis said in the release. “Together, we will continue to make Manvel a place you're proud to call home.”

The certification program includes many partners, such as the American Planning Association-Texas Chapter, American Council of Engineering Companies of Houston, Houston-Galveston Area Council, Keep Texas Beautiful, Scenic America, Scenic Houston, Texas Downtown Association, Texas Economic Development Council, Texas Historical Commission and the Texas Municipal League, among others, according to the release.
