The Friendswood ISD board of trustees is scheduled at its April 13 meeting to consider implementing participation fees for University Interscholastic League sports, speech and debate at Friendswood High School and Junior High, according to board documents.
The details
The proposed fee structure includes two tiers:
- Tier 1: band, baseball, basketball, football and volleyball
- Tier 2: drill team, varsity cheerleading and wrestling
The funds will be used to offset expenses including referees, judges, travel, equipment and materials, according to board documents.
