Pearland ISD’s board of trustees adopted a tax rate of $1.1350 per $100 valuation of a home for fiscal year 2026-27 at its Aug. 11 meeting, documents show.
The rate is identical to last year’s, as previously reported by Community Impact.
The overview
This tax rate combines $0.7869 for maintenance and operations, or M&O, which pays for daily operations, and $0.3481 for interest and sinking, or I&S, which pays bond debt, according to budget documents.
What residents should know
This tax rate will result in a tax bill of over $3,307 for an average residence—about a $136 increase compared to last year’s bill of nearly $3,171, according to district documents.
However, that decrease doesn’t account for how home values might have changed year over year. The FY 2026-27 rate is calculated with an average residential market value of over $446,000. Last year’s average market value was about $435,000, according to district documents.
