Northwest Austin residents have an opportunity to review and leave comments on improvements at the increasingly congested intersection of Anderson Mill Road and RM 620.
The Texas Department of Transportation on the morning of Aug. 26 is hosting a virtual public meeting on its proposed project at the intersection. As part of the public meeting process, TxDOT will field questions and collect written comments from the general public regarding the project.
According to early planning materials from the state agency, the project will add elevated bypass lanes at Anderson Mill and El Salido Parkway. Further, the state will build frontage roads and turn lanes, intersection improvements, and bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure around the intersection at Anderson Mill and RM 620.
In all, the project will stretch for more than a mile along RM 620 from just south of Foundation Road to Little Elm Trail. TxDOT materials state the proposed project has the potential to displace 20 nonresidential structures near the project.
