Upcoming projects
Project: The project features a number of express lanes along the 8.7-mile stretch from Cesar Chavez Street to Slaughter Lane in Austin, alongside shared-use paths and pedestrian crossings, according to the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority.
Update: Public comment on the proposed project closed May 3. West Lake Hills and Rollingwood officials issued a conditional letter of support for the project in April.
Project: A section of Pfluger Farm Lane in Pflugerville will be widened and extended into a three-lane road.
Update: According to city information, the transportation team's plan review was 100% complete as of March 30.
RM 1431 road and intersection improvements
Project: Road improvements are planned from New Hope Drive to Bagdad Road in Cedar Park, and also at the RM 1431 and Whitestone Boulevard intersection near 183A Toll, both in attempt to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.
Update: The city and Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority have finalized an agreement for CTRMA to lead project delivery, and the project is moving into preliminary engineering and design of the intersection. The road improvements schematic has been approved by the Texas Department of Transportation and is awaiting funding approval and environmental clearance.
Ongoing projects
Project: This construction aims to extend CR 110 north from CR 111, which is also called Rockride Lane in Georgetown, to connect with Patriot Way at Sam Houston Avenue, and construct a three-lane temporary road.
Update: Construction has begun, and the project is anticipated to be completed this fall. Crews are conducting rough earth work and lime treatment, according to the April 22 update from Williamson County.
Project: The project extends San Gabriel Parkway in Leander eastward from Isaias Drive to W. Ronald Reagan Boulevard between Palmera Ridge and Palmera Bluff subdivisions as an arterial roadway.
Update: According to city officials, construction is ongoing. A traffic signal at San Gabriel Parkway and Ronald Reagan Boulevard is expected to be operational in 2026.
Spicewood Springs Road Regional Mobility Project
Project: The project includes widening the two-lane road in Austin into a four-lane road with left-turn bays, creating two water detention ponds and pedestrian and bicycle shared-use paths, and improving the storm drain system, water transmission and wastewater lines.
Update: According to city information, crews adjusted travel routes south of Adirondack Trail in March with signage and temporary lane markings to shift traffic to the western side of the right of way. The road currently remains in one lane in each direction from Adirondack Trail to the top of the hill.
