Upcoming projects
Project: The project, formerly called the Liberty Hill Bypass East, includes design and construction of two lanes of the new Liberty Hill Bypass from Bagdad Road, also known as CR 279, to Hwy. 29.
Update: Per Williamson County officials, the project is in the final design phase.
Project: The project extends West Rundberg Lane in Austin from Burnet Road to Metric Boulevard, including an expansion of the roadway from two lanes to four lanes with a raised median, an 8-foot shared-use path on both sides, and storm sewer, water and wastewater improvements.
Update: The project is currently in the design phase, per Austin Transportation and Public Works officials.
Project:
The project will construct medians with turn lanes on Williams Drive in Georgetown from I-35 to Serenada Drive, including a shared-use path on the north side of Williams Drive, a new waterline, and street lighting from DB Wood Road to Jim Hogg Road and Serenada Drive to I-35.Update: The project’s design is complete, and city officials anticipate it going out to bid in March.
Project: The west portion of the project realigns sharp curves and adds capacity to a 1-mile stretch with a new roundabout along Bebee Road in Kyle. The east portion of the project adds approximately 2.1 miles of four-lane roadway and three roundabouts.
Update: The baseline construction schedule was approved in November for the western portion, with all necessary rights of way and easements secured and work beginning on roadway preparation and drainage improvements. The east portion's design phase is 90% complete.
Project: Google Fiber crews are constructing a new fiber-optic network in Lakeway.
Update: The project started in January, with its first phase from Hurst Creek Road and Lohmans Crossing Road to RM 620. Temporary lane closures may be necessary, with flaggers and street signs in place to direct traffic, according to city information.
Project: Work involves mobility and safety improvements along Slaughter Lane between MoPac and Brodie Lane in Austin.
Update: According to city officials, as of March 12, there are two lanes open in each direction from MoPac to Brodie Lane, with ongoing construction. Work has begun on the shared-use path westbound from Brodie Lane.
