Upstart Major League Soccer outfit Austin FC plays its first-ever match April 17. The squad is traveling to California to face off against Los Angeles FC, the first of seven games on the road to start the season. Kickoff is scheduled at 5 p.m. CST on April 17.

Ahead of Austin FC’s historic inaugural game, here is a primer on how to watch the team from home as well as a collection of bars and venues around town that are holding watch parties. This list is not comprehensive.

TV, streaming

Television networks: Fox, Fox Deportes

Streaming: Austin FC will stream all locally broadcast games on its website and smartphone app this season. However, the April 17 match is a nationally broadcast game and will not be streamed by the team.

North Austin breweries

There are several breweries in North Austin that are approximately a mile or less away from Q2 Stadium, home of Austin FC. Some of these breweries will host the official watch parties for Austin FC’s supporters groups. Others have invested in outdoor seating, projectors and TVs and new employees to serve Austin FC fans on game days.
