1. Dedicated left-turn lane

Construction began in late October on a left-turn lane into the Austin Board of Realtors’ property at 4800 Spicewood Springs Road and other drainage upgrades. ABoR is contributing $310,864 toward the project, which aims to relieve congestion on the two-lane roadway. Timeline: October-December Cost: $440,942 Funding sources: ABoR, city of Austin

2. Parmer Lane resurfacing

The Texas Department of Transportation will repair and resurface the portion of Parmer Lane from SH 45 N to the Travis County line just north of McNeil Drive. The project goes out for bids in December. Timeline: summer 2016 (construction) Cost: $3.3 million Funding sources: TxDOT

3. US 183 frontage roads

TxDOT plans to begin resurfacing the US 183 frontage roads from Anderson Mill Road to McNeil Drive in the spring or early summer. The timeline was pushed back from this fall because of weather, spokesperson Kelli Reyna said. Timeline: spring-early summer Cost: $2 million Funding sources: state funds

4. MoPac construction

This fall crews are finishing widening bridges on the corridor north of RM 2222 to Parmer Lane. Most of the paving for the new express lanes has been completed, and a retaining wall for the Steck Avenue frontage road bypass lane is nearly complete. Workers are also installing new LED highway lights. In the downtown area the first phase of the southbound underpass excavation is complete, and drainage structures are being installed.
