North Austin shopping center Domain Northside is partnering with Austin Pets Alive! for a cat adoption event July 10. Normal adoption fees from APA will be waived during this event, and all of the available cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped and guaranteed to be up to date on vaccinations. Literacy Coalition of Central Texas celebration

The Arboretum in North Austin is partnering with the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas to host the nonprofit organization’s Parents and Little Scholars graduation celebration. The event is part of a monthlong event July 9-25 to raise funds for the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas. The Arboretum will be donating 50 cents to the nonprofit for every book sold from Barnes & Noble until $5,000 is raised. 10 a.m.-noon. Free. Celis Brewery anniversary party
