Madhu Phillips and Joyce Yang will open Sugar Pine in mid-April at 8578 Research Blvd., Austin. The restaurant will serve Asian cuisine and housemade ice cream with flavors such as green tea and black sesame. Menu items will include bento boxes and Japanese onigiri, or rice balls.
