Lucky Claw Mania
The claw machine business launched its second Austin-area location earlier this summer, with a grand opening on Sept. 19. Machines are stocked with plush toys, Sonny Angels, Labubus and more collectible items.

Austin Sports Club
Lobos Hospitality and Boardroom Hospitality partnered to open Austin Sports Club, a new dining and entertainment hub downtown. The club will feature American cuisine, including chilled lobster rolls, ribeye and grilled branzino, as well as a lineup of signature cocktails.

Industrious gym
Luis Herrera and his wife Mallory opened Industrious, offering 50-minute group fitness workouts led by coaches. The space features 13x13 personal training zones known as the HALO, each set up with equipment like a bench, barbells, rowing machine, treadmill and more.

Alteño Austin
Alteño Austin comes from James Beard-nominated Chef Johnny Curiel and Kasie Curiel of Fonda Fina Hospitality. The Michelin-recommended restaurant concept serves up Mexican flavor inspired by the Jaliscan Highlands. Dinner plates include queso fundido, duck carnitas and chile relleno.

Scheels
The employee-owned sporting goods store is now open in the CedarView development in north Cedar Park. In addition to shopping, visitors to Scheels can ride a 65-foot indoor Ferris wheel, view roughly 600 fish in a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, and visit a candy shop and a cafe.

Longevita Nutrition
Michelle Shamailov founded a new private practice providing nutrition assessments and counseling. The brand specializes in counseling related to heart health, cardiometabolic support, surgery preparation and recovery and weight management. Longevita offers in-person and virtual assessments.

Golf Lounge 18
The company leased 12,000 square feet of retail space in The Shops at Tech Ridge in July, according to a news release. Golf Lounge 18 offers indoor golfing featuring Trackman Golf Simulators. These simulators allow patrons to see what it’s like to play at over 450 golf courses around the world.

COTALAND Theme Park
The theme park features over 30 experiences, from rollercoasters to mini golf, COTA Karting and a zip line. On COTALAND grounds, visitors can dine on coffee, ice cream, burgers and pizza. The amusement park is home to the T20 Restaurant and Terrace, Splashdown Bar and Penny’s Cafe.

Taqueria de Diez
The Austin-area taqueria is expanding with a new location at The Domain, the brand shared on its website. The restaurant initially opened in 2024, serving Tijuana-style street tacos, burritos and quesadillas along with traditional sides like chips and guacamole.

Teso-X
The collectibles store will open a new location at Lakeline Mall, according to a TDLR filing. The company is “dedicated to bringing premium Asian products and culture to the U.S. market,” according to its website.

Relocations
Material Bespoke Stone + Tile
The design and stoneware store relocated from Westlake to North Austin in early August. Material Bespoke offers stone, glass and ceramic tiles, along with custom architectural stonework most commonly for bathrooms, kitchens, other interiors and exteriors.

Alma Esthetics
The medical spa and aesthetics clinic relocated to a new Northwest Austin space, said owner Emily Rocha. The business offers skin treatments including facials, dermaplaning and back facials. Patrons can also receive laser treatments including skin tightening and laser hair removal.

Austin Beerworks
The local brewing company celebrated 15 years of operations earlier this summer. Austin Beerworks commemorated the anniversary with a party in May at its original taproom in Northwest Austin, according to its Instagram.
3001 Industrial Terrace, Austin
Bartlett's
MML Hospitality announced that it will partner with the owners of Bartlett’s to launch a second location in south Austin. The restaurant is known for its hand-cut fish and steaks and other scratch-made items. Bartlett’s North Austin location on Anderson Lane will remain as-is, the hospitality group stated.

Garbo's Fresh Maine Lobster
Garbo’s will close its North Lamar location in September, leaving the Northwest Austin restaurant as its final brick-and-mortar. The restaurant serves lobster rolls, lobster bisque, fish and chips, crab cakes, smoked fish dip, oysters and caviar.

Peoples Pharmacy
Peoples Pharmacy—also known as Peoples Wellness—recently sold to Kimberli Wiley, owner of CPRx Pharmacy in Austin. With the new ownership, Wiley is launching a collaboration with Victory Medical center, offering GLP-1s, peptides and nurse practitioners available to see clients in store.

Turnstile Brew
Turnstile Brew officially began the transition to Hold Out Bar & Grill in late September, according to a social media post. Hold Out Brewing initially took over the space in March, said Mark Stowe, partner and director of marketing and customer experience for Better Half, Hold Out and Turnstile.
